I grew up in the Sacramento area of California, attending high school in the area and completing my B.A. in Speech Communications at California State University Sacramento.
After college, I attended Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Scribe School, a two-year, non-accredited biblical/ theological study program at Peninsula Bible Church under the direction of David Roper and the late Ray Stedman. I have spent over twenty-eight years in full-time ministry as a pastor in two local Sacramento area congregations, and also serve as an adjunct professor for Western Seminary's Sacramento Campus, having taught courses in New Testament Greek and Beginning Message Preparation.
I am also a personal and professional coach.
I've been married to my wife Sherri for thirty-five years. We have two married adult children and four grandchildren.
I love basketball, cycling, am an incorrigible Sacramento Kings fan, like dogs, not fond of cats at all, and can eat chocolate chip cookies by the dozen.
Most of all, I love to help people find and discover their full, God-given potential as human beings - and I'm committed to helping them identify and unlock that potential, either through personal coaching conversations, or in teaching spiritual truth that speaks relevantly and practically to their lives. In addition, I have a passion to help develop emerging leaders/ teachers for the church of the future.
